Mental Health First Aid
Mental Health First Aid is an 8-hour training designed to help participants recognize signs of mental health challenges or substance use disorders and provide initial support to individuals experiencing crises or developing a mental health issue. Using role-playing and simulations, the course focuses on understanding symptoms, developing an action plan, and connecting individuals to professional care.

Question, Persuade, Refer
Question, Persuade, Refer is a short suicide prevention training that equips participants with the skills to recognize suicide warning signs, offer hope, and refer individuals to appropriate resources. This training includes three key steps: questioning a person about suicidal thoughts, persuading them to seek help, and referring them to professional assistance. Participants can complete the certification in approximately 1-2 hours.
Counseling on Access to Lethal Means
The Counseling on Access to Lethal Means training is a suicide prevention program aimed at reducing access to lethal methods, particularly firearms and medications, among individuals at risk for suicide. CALM is designed to empower mental health clinicians, primary care providers, crisis responders, and even community members to effectively identify at-risk individuals, engage in open conversations about the importance of means restriction, and collaborate with them to safely store lethal means during crisis situations. The training is available online or in-person for both professionals and non-clinicians.
